Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories in Paradise Hills, NM is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist to work primarily 07:00–11:00, Monday through Friday, with on-call weekends and holidays as needed. The role offers hourly pay and opportunities to learn multiple modalities.

You will work independently with minimal supervision, maintain supplies, perform phlebotomy and clerical tasks, and participate in on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits basic problem solving skills to ensure customer and patient care.
• Handles on-call responsibilities during scheduled hours.
• Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Participates in coverage for on-call as needed.
