Job summary

TriCore seeks a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist to work on-site at New Mexico’s largest laboratory. This role may involve an apprenticeship for those without experience, with compensation dependent on modalities performed.

Regular attendance is essential, and on-call coverage may be required at multiple locations. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen handling, and clerical tasks, with a focus on patient care and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Immunization requirements for Hepatitis B and related documentation must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and related specimen collection.
• Maintain supplies and inventory for departmental operations.
• Assist with clerical tasks and ensure confidentiality of information.
• Demonstrate professional communication with patients and staff.
• Be available for on-call duties and holiday coverage as needed.
• Operate with minimal supervision and adhere to safety and quality standards.
