Job summary

Hazel Dell Assisted Living) Hazel Dell Community Healthcare, LLC is seeking a cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor, reporting to the Dietary supervisor.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, following menus, portion control, and assisting with serving. Must have ServSafe certification and experience in a hospital or long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least one year of cook experience in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Must obtain ServSafe Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Report resident care concerns to Administrator or Director of Nurses.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
