Desert Willow Post Acute Las Vegas Hills Healthcare, LLC is seeking a qualified cook to manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. The role requires preparing meals for large quantities, adhering to menus, and supervising sanitation and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience, and a ServSafe certificate.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: cook in a hospital or long-term care facility for at least 1 year.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
• Knowledge of PCC preferred.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to present information to managers and employees.

Responsabilités

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Prepare special diets accurately; record food temperatures.
• Prepare pureed foods.
• Cooperate with staff and maintain sanitation standards.
• Assist with serving the meals.
• Clean cooking area and serving carts; report resident care concerns to Administrator/Director of Nurses.
• Participate in orientation/training of dietary staff; make the food appealing to residents.
• In absence of Dietary Supervisor, perform supervisory duties and ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
