Job summary

Oak Street Health Fayetteville is seeking a Medical Scribe (Clinical Informatics Specialist) to work with a provider in the exam room, documenting encounters and preparing after-visit summaries to ensure accurate coding and records.

This full-time, in-person role requires a minimum typing speed of 55 WPM (70+ preferred), a commitment of 1–2 years, HIPAA compliance, and strong computer literacy to learn EMR workflows and population health tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum typing speed of 55 WPM; 70+ WPM preferred.
• Must be able to commit a minimum of 1 year to the position.
• Excellent attendance and ability to work in-person ~40–45 hours per week.
• This is a full-time role with in-clinic responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in structured notes (HPI, assessment, plan, PE).
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes; prepare after-visit summaries.
• Support clinical documentation improvement and daily huddles.
• Perform administrative tasks to assist the care team.
