Oak Street Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Medical Scribe (Clinical Informatics Specialist) to support providers with documentation in the exam room and post-visit summaries. This paid, full-time role offers hands-on exposure to ICD-10 and CPT coding, electronic medical records, and population health within a value-based care model.

Candidates should have strong typing (55+ WPM), a commitment of at least one year, and in-person clinic availability about 40-45 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum typing speed of 55 WPM; 70+ WPM preferred.
• Must commit a minimum of 1 year; 2+ years preferred.
• Excellent attendance with ability to work in-person ~40-45 hours/week.
• This is a full-time position; no part-time scribe roles available.
• Strong listening and communication skills; able to learn new processes and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in the exam room and post-visit summaries.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes; prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Support clinical documentation improvement with records and population health tools.
• Place orders and referrals; assist care team with administrative duties as assigned.
