Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking an experienced RN Utilization Review Nurse to join its Southern Nevada acute care network. You will review inpatient medical records both concurrently and retrospectively to ensure appropriate documentation, utilization, and compliant reimbursement for acute care services.

Candidates should have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or be an International Medical Graduate, at least five years of acute care experience, and an active RN license in the

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing or International Medical Graduate.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient medical records to evaluate utilization and documentation of acute care services.
• Facilitates appropriate physician documentation to reflect severity of illness and risk of mortality.
• Supports reporting of quality outcomes and accurate, compliant reimbursement.
