Job summary

The Valley Health System in Southern Nevada is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for inpatient utilization review. You will conduct concurrent and retrospective chart reviews to ensure accurate documentation, appropriate care, and compliant reimbursement across acute care services.

Qualifications include an active RN license in the United States, an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing (or international medical graduate), and 5+ years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 5+ years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Proficient in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Provide concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient medical records to evaluate utilization and documentation of acute care services.
• Promote accurate physician documentation reflecting patient severity of illness and risk of mortality.
• Support reporting of quality of care outcomes and ensure compliant reimbursement for services.
