Job summary

The Valley Health System is expanding its integrated health network across Southern Nevada, seeking an experienced RN reviewer to conduct concurrent and retrospective chart reviews of inpatient records. You will evaluate utilization, documentation, and accuracy of severity of illness reflections to ensure compliant reimbursement for acute care services.

The role requires an RN license with at least five years in acute care, plus strong written and verbal communication skills and independence in

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing or International Medical Graduate.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting; critical care, medical/surgical or Emergency Department nursing preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently in a time-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient medical records to evaluate utilization and documentation of acute care services.
• Aims to facilitate accurate physician documentation of care delivered to reflect patient severity of illness and risk of mortality.
• Reviews are determined internally and by external payers or regulatory agencies to support reporting quality and compliant reimbursement.
