Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking an experienced RN to perform clinically based concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records in Southern Nevada. The goal is to ensure accurate documentation, appropriate care, and compliant reimbursement for acute care services.

Qualified candidates will hold an Associates or Bachelors in Nursing (or be an International Medical Graduate) with at least five years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• RN degree required (ADN/BSN) with licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience in acute care settings.
• Knowledge of inpatient admission criteria and reimbursement processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records.
• Evaluate utilization, documentation, and severity to ensure compliant reimbursement.
• Communicate findings and collaborate with care teams to improve documentation.
