Job summary

The Valley Health System in Southern Nevada is seeking a Registered Nurse with expertise in clinical review to support inpatient services.

You will conduct concurrent and retrospective chart reviews to ensure accurate documentation of illness severity, support appropriate care, and help secure compliant reimbursement.

Applicants should have an RN license and 5+ years of acute care experience; strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing or International Medical Graduate.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Knowledge of Medicare reimbursement system and coding preferred but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient medical records.
• Evaluate utilization and documentation of acute care services.
• Assist in accurate reflection of severity of illness and risk of mortality.
• Comply with payer/regulatory requirements and report quality outcomes.
