Job summary

Westside Children's Therapy in Rockford, IL seeks a part-time evening Clinical Counselor to provide family therapy for parents of children ages 3+ and individual therapy for children 5+, following clinical evaluation.

Qualified candidates hold a CACREP/CSWE‑accredited master’s degree, LCPC or LCSW licensure for Illinois, and experience with children and families. You will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, deliver psychoeducation, and supervise LPC/MSW team members.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or social work from a CACREP/CSWE accredited university.
• LCPC or LCSW licensure in Illinois.
• Prior experience working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide family therapy for parents of children ages 3+ with verbal communication skills, and provide individual one-on-one therapy with children ages 5+, pending clinical evaluation
• Perform initial assessments, behavioral observations, and both short- and long-term interventions while developing individualized treatment plans
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families while collaborating with internal team members and other disciplines to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
• Serve as a clinical supervisor to LPC/MSW level prepared team members
