Job summary

Westside Children's Therapy in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a part‑time evening Clinical Counselor to provide family therapy for children and parents, and individual therapy for children aged 5+ after school hours.

The role includes initial assessments, short and long‑term interventions, and psychoeducation, with opportunities to supervise LPC/MSW/MA level clinicians as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or social work from a CACREP/CSWE accredited university.
• LCPC or LCSW licensure in the state of Illinois.
• Prior experience working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide family therapy for parents of children ages 3+ with verbal communication skills, and provide individual therapy for children ages 5+, pending clinical evaluation.
• Perform initial assessments, behavioral observations, and both short‑ and long‑term interventions while developing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families while collaborating with internal team members to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
• Serve as a clinical supervisor to LPC/MSW/MA level prepared team members.

What You’ll Do

• Provide family therapy for parents of children ages 3+ with verbal communication skills, and provide individual one‑on‑one therapy with children ages 5+, pending clinical evaluation
• Perform initial assessments, behavioral observations, and both short‑ and long‑term interventions while developing individualized treatment plans
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families while collaborating with internal team members and other disciplines to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
• Serve as a clinical supervisor to LPC/MSW/MA level prepared team members
