Job summary

Westside Children's Therapy in Joliet, IL is seeking a part-time Clinical Counselor to provide family therapy for parents of children 3+ and individual therapy for children 5+. The role includes assessments, treatment planning, and psychoeducation, with supervision of LPC/MSW colleagues.

The schedule runs 3–7 pm Monday–Friday and 8 am–2 pm Saturdays (optional). Competitive hourly rates and a comprehensive benefits package are offered, with a supportive, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or social work from a CACREP/CSWE accredited university.
• LCPC or LCSW licensure in the state of Illinois.
• Prior experience working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide family therapy for parents of children ages 3+ with verbal communication skills, and provide individual one-on-one therapy with children ages 5+, pending clinical evaluation
• Perform initial assessments, behavioural observations, and both short- and long-term interventions while developing individualized treatment plans
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families while collaborating with internal team members and other disciplines to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
• Serve as a clinical supervisor to LPC/MSW level prepared team members
