Job summary

Westside Children's Therapy in Lombard, IL is seeking a part-time Clinical Counselor to provide family therapy for parents and individual therapy for children, with open availability for evenings. The role includes initial assessments, planning, psychoeducation, and collaboration with the internal team to ensure coordinated care.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in counseling or social work and IL LCPC or LCSW licensure, with prior experience working with children and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or social work from CACREP/CSWE accredited university.
• LCPC or LCSW licensure in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Provide family therapy for parents of children 3+ with verbal communication skills, and individual therapy for children 5+ (as evaluated).
• Perform initial assessments, behavioral observations, and both short- and long-term interventions with individualized treatment plans.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families while coordinating with internal team members for comprehensive care.
• Serve as a clinical supervisor to LPC/MSW level prepared team members.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide family therapy for parents of children ages 3+ with verbal communication skills, and provide individual one-on-one therapy with children ages 5+, pending clinical evaluation
• Perform initial assessments, behavioral observations, and both short- and long-term interventions while developing individualized treatment plans
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families while collaborating with internal team members and other disciplines to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
• Serve as a clinical supervisor to LPC/MSW level prepared team members

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Master’s degree in counseling or social work from a CACREP/CSWE accredited university
• LCPC or LCSW licensure in the state of Illinois
• Prior experience working with children and families
