Job summary

AABR in College Point, NY is seeking a Day Program Behavioral Intervention Specialist (BIS) to provide direct clinical services to adults with developmental disabilities and co‑occurring psychiatric conditions. The BIS develops and monitors BSPs, conducts FBAs, and trains staff to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied behavior analysis, plus one of NYS LCSW/ Psychologist, BCBA, or NYS LBA credentials.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied behavior analysis.
  • One of NYS LCSW or Psychologist license, BCBA, or NYS Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA).
  • Minimum two years of direct clinical experience with developmental disabilities and related settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct FBAs and develop BSPs in line with OPWDD 633.16 regulations.
  • Support behavioral needs of adults in day programs and community homes.
  • Provide family consultation and staff training to ensure continuity of care.
  • Write monthly behavioral data summaries and annual assessments.
