AHRC New York City is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist for its Queens Adult Day Services program. The BIS will provide behavior support services, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment as part of interdisciplinary teams in a nonprofit setting.

The role emphasizes developing plans after assessments, training staff, coordinating with families and providers, and maintaining accurate service records to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a clinical or treatment field of psychology and documented training in assessment techniques.
• At least 2 years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized behavior support plans after functional assessment.
• Implement and monitor data tracking systems for behavior health.
• Provide training to staff on behavior treatment plans.
• Complete assessments and psychological evaluations as needed.
• Coordinate care with families, medical providers, and residential settings.
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and ensure regulatory compliance.
