AHRC New York City is seeking a Behavioral Intervention Specialist (BIS) for its Queens Adult Day Services program. The BIS provides behavior support services, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment as part of interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology with training in assessment techniques and behavioral support plan development.
• At least 2 years of experience with developmental disabilities and behavioral plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develops individualized behavior support plans after Functional Assessment.
• Implements and monitors behavioral data tracking systems.
• Provides staff training on behavior treatment plans and related topics.
• Conducts assessments and psychological evaluations as needed.
• Coordinates care with families, medical providers and residential settings.
• Provides crisis intervention and guides staff in addressing challenging behaviors.
• Maintains accurate service records to ensure regulatory compliance.
