Job summary

Birch Family Services is hiring a Behavioral Intervention Specialist in New York City. The BIS will assess behavioral needs, plan interventions, and support residents across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.

Responsibilities include coordinating with residential and day habilitation staff, leading clinical discussions, and maintaining confidential records. The role requires a Master’s degree (Psychology, Social Work or BCBA) and up to five years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in field of Psychology, Social Work or BCBA certification.
• Experience in behavioral assessments and intervention planning preferred.
• Must be able to maintain records in accordance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral assessments and habilitative assessments using formal and informal methods.
• Develop and monitor behavior support plans and ensure timely revisions.
• Lead clinical discussions in meetings and provide staff training.
• Coordinate with Residential/Day habilitation teams and ensure proper documentation.
