Job summary

Sysmex America, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist I to support instrument and middleware integration at customer sites.

The role combines laboratory expertise with IT knowledge to implement solutions from order to go-live in the laboratory environment. The CAS will train customers, troubleshoot performance issues, and act as a technical consultant to drive customer satisfaction and sales objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher with hematology experience and relevant certifications.
  • Active ASCP or CLS certification required.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Experience with LIS, HIS or WAM preferred.
  • Supervisory experience desirable.
  • Solid CLIA/COLA experience required.
  • Ability to analyze, problem solve and evaluate technical/IT data.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Sysmex instruments, middleware, and reagents into customer sites. Plan implementation with customers and ensure regulatory/validation requirements are met.
  • Troubleshoot reagent, middleware or instrument performance and provide solutions to improve customer self-sufficiency.
  • Develop and deliver training programs/workshops for customers and Technical Services.
  • Manage time, territory, and accounts; document activity; drive process improvements and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical information to management and peers; support sales objectives.
  • Provide pre-sale and post-sale support including technical presentations and demos.
  • Manage company assets and expenses within guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This role requires extensive interpersonal contact and professional conduct under pressure.
