Job summary

Sysmex America, Inc. seeks a Specialist I, Clinical Applications to support instrument and middleware integration in the clinical laboratory. You will provide on-site training, serve as a technical consultant, and help realize efficient customer deployments.

Extensive travel is required (up to 80%), with preferred locations in Portland, ME or Portsmouth, NH. Candidates should have Bachelor’s with 3–5 years or Associate’s with MT/MLT plus 10+ years in hematology, and ASCP/CLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years experience or Associate's degree with MT/MLT and 10+ years hematology experience.
• Active ASCP or CLS certification required.
• Supervisory experience desirable.
• Experience with LIS, HIS or WAM preferred.
• Solid CLIA/COLA experience is necessary.
• Strong hematology experience and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to analyze, solve problems and present technical data.
• Comfort with independently and multisite integration activities.

Responsibilities

• Implement Sysmex instruments, middleware and reagents at customer sites and manage integration timelines.
• Troubleshoot reagent, middleware or instrument issues to improve customer self-sufficiency.
• Develop and deliver training programs and workshops for customers and Technical Services.
• Manage territory and accounts, document activity, and support sales objectives.
• Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support including demonstrations and evaluations.
• Communicate issues and improvements to product teams and management.
• Travel extensively to customer sites as part of deployment and support.
