Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Clerical Clinical Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support across multiple offices. You will take vital signs, document medical histories, verify insurance, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA.

The role requires a high school diploma and completion of an MA program or relevant experience, with BLS within 6 months. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program or 1 year clinical/administrative experience required.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs; update medical records.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and handle administrative duties.
• Prepare lab specimens and basic clinical procedures.
• Coordinate tests, imaging, and referrals as ordered.
