Job summary

2nd Chance Clinic in Lexington, KY seeks a full-time Medical Staff Associate to support clinical operations and patient services. The role combines patient interaction with administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic functioning.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, medical training or phlebotomy experience, and 1–2 years of related work. Proficiency in MS Office and patient management systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Medical training preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of clinical, clerical, or medical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
• Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and provide customer service.
• Organize and administer office tasks.
• Perform observed urine collection.
• Conduct routine venipuncture if trained.
• Adhere to regulations and policies.
• Interview patients and document medical history.
• Coordinate appointments and manage scheduling.
• Maintain and file medical records and prior authorizations.
• Arrange laboratory services and track billing encounters.
• Prepare and clean clinic and treatment rooms.
• Inventory supplies and assist with purchasing.
• Communicate with other organizations regarding care and insurance.
