Responsibilities

• Obtain authorizations for hospitalization and tests from insurers and case managers.
• Gather patient information and history prior to physician visits.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area with stocked supplies.
• Communicate with physicians, staff, and patients effectively.
• Schedule surgeries/tests and secure approvals as needed.
• Input orders and history & physical when allowed.
• Provide customer service in the absence of frontline staff.
• Oversee DME supplies and report inventory issues.
• Assist with basic casting and splinting when required.
• Maintain patient chart documentation and records.
