Job summary

Catholic Community Services of Western Washington is seeking a Clinical Access Specialist to join the FBH Northend Tacoma team. You will determine eligibility and facilitate access to intensive behavioral health services, working in homes, community settings and local office sites.

The role requires strong assessment skills, experience with Medicaid authorizations, and the ability to coordinate referrals and support families through the intake process while collaborating with clinical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social work, psychology, behavioral sciences or related field.
• Proficiency with clinical assessment processes and DSM criteria.
• Experience using EHR systems and documenting referrals and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Be the first clinical contact for referrals and determine eligibility for intensive services.
• Gather information, complete assessments, and verify Medicaid eligibility.
• Coordinate referrals with clinical managers and obtain necessary pre-authorizations.
• Maintain timely communication of dispositions to funders and referees.
• Support community outreach and maintain relationships with providers and funders.
• Document intake and referral data in the electronic health record.
• Provide referrals to community resources when necessary.
