Job summary

Catholic Community Services in Tacoma seeks a Clinical Access Specialist to serve as the first clinical contact for children, youth, and families seeking intensive behavioral health services. You will determine eligibility and facilitate access using standardized assessment tools, with data entry into the EHR and coordination with clinical managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, behavioral sciences or equivalent field.
• 2+ years of clinical experience with children and families.
• Clinical knowledge of DSM diagnostic criteria.
• Experience with motivational interviewing or collaborative problem solving.
• Eligibility for Agency Affiliated License.
• Excel, Word, and Behavioral Health EHR proficiency.
• Training in CANS assessment and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Utilize clinical assessment and engagement skills in homes, hospitals or community settings.
• Complete behavioral health clinical assessment tools including the CANS.
• Assess for service need and intensity and determine eligibility for services.
• Engage families during referrals and coordinate with clinical managers.
• Enter data into Electronic Health Record systems and track referrals.
