Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 1 year experience performing billing, patient registration, and scheduling, medical insurance verification, insurance screening.
• Broad clinic knowledge and customer service skills; computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) required.
• Must be able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and register patients in the scheduling system.
• Collect and verify demographic and insurance information; ensure accuracy.
• Obtain insurance card and photo ID; document in medical records.
• Reschedule appointments and assist at check-out when applicable.
• Greet patients and parents professionally; explain processes as needed.
• Communicate HIPAA notices and patient rights; assist with referrals as required.
