Children’s National Hospital is seeking a Clinic Operations Representative for the Ophthalmology Clinic. The role focuses on patient services and administrative support in clinic operations, including scheduling, registration, and verification of insurance, with interaction among parents, patients, physicians, and staff.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of experience in billing, scheduling, and insurance verification, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Formación

• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in billing, patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification is required.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with parents/patients.
• Proficiency with scheduling systems and basic computer usage (Word & Excel preferred).
• Typing speed minimum of 35 words per minute.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate accuracy in scheduling patients using the department's scheduling system.
• Complete online registration with parent/guardian via phone or in person in a professional manner.
• Collect demographic and insurance information accurately.
• Update systems for registration accuracy and department standards.
• Reschedule appointments as needed and greet patients/parents courteously.
