Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Internal Medical Clinic at the CUMC-Bergan campus seeks a Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to support patient care with compassionate, high-quality service. You will document vitals, review medications and allergies, and assist the provider to ensure efficient visits that promote patient well-being.

The ideal candidate has ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited MA training, BLS, and a patient-first mindset, thriving in a collaborative interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited MA program.
• Completed Medication Aide 40‑hour course or current/valid.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.

Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.

*Job Requirements**Required:*

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
