Job summary

CHI Health Clinic in Omaha is seeking a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care at the 132nd & Center Family Medicine Clinic. You will assess patients, support the care team, and perform essential clerical and clinical tasks to support recovery and wellbeing.

The role requires ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited training, CMA/RMA/NCMA certification, BLS, and ability to work within interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES or CAAHEP-accredited medical assisting program.
• Current CMA/RMA/NCMA certification or recognition.
• BLS from American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Obtains and records vitals, reviews allergies and meds, and documents visit reasons.
• Collects and prepares specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepares and provides medications and vaccines to patients.
• Contributes to other duties within role as assigned.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) located at our 132nd & Center Family Medicine Clinic, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
