Job summary

CHI Health Clinic's Cardiology team in Omaha, NE seeks a Medical Assistant / CMA to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care and support patient recovery.

You will greet patients, record vital signs, collect specimens, prepare meds or vaccines, and perform other duties as assigned within scope. Requires ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited program, CMA/RMA/NCMA certification, Medication Aide 40‑hour course, and BLS.

A sign-on bonus and education assistance are offered to eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized CMA/RMA/NCMA certification.
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) working at our amazing Cardiology Clinic located at the CUMC-Bergan campus, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Required

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Pay Range

$18.96 - $26.78 /hour
