Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues while performing their job duties.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with patient information.
• Must possess a personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and visitors; manage front desk responsibilities.
• Perform patient check-in and ensure admitting process is efficient and compliant with policies.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain patient and insurance information, collect copays and deductible amounts.
• Copy/scan patient-related materials into the electronic medical record.
