Job summary

Wake County’s Cashier’s Office and STI Clinic seeks a Patient Access Supervisor to oversee patient access staff and administrative operations at the Public Health Center in Raleigh, NC. This role supports clinic operations, staff training, quality assurance, financial reconciliation, and administrative reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and equivalent education/experience accepted.
• Three years of job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Patient Access Representatives and train staff in registration, self-pay collections, and charge retrievals for four clinics.
• Support practice management and quality assurance for the STI Clinic and Cashier’s Office.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies and manage monthly statements; oversee credit card purchases.
• Develop, revise, and update Administrative protocols and generate monthly reports.
• Coordinate clinic staff scheduling and provide administrative coverage for both offices.
• Order supplies, coordinate vendors, maintain equipment, and reserve rooms.
• Facilitate patient satisfaction surveys and conduct chart audits; lead staff meetings.
