Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Hudson, OH is seeking an experienced Trimmer to join our utility line clearance team. The role emphasizes climbing skills, pruning and removal for major electric utility providers, and safe operation of chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.

Preferred candidates have climbing experience with DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS, a valid driver’s license (CDL-A/B a plus), and a commitment to safety. This is a full-time, outdoor, on-site position with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems.
• Practical pruning and removal skills for utility line clearance.
• Ability to operate equipment safely.
• Must complete orientation and safety trainings on hire.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees and perform pruning/removal for utility providers.
• Maintain and operate chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
• Work with ground crew and foreperson.
• Grow within the role depending on performance.
