The Gravity Vault Montclair is seeking an energetic Manager to oversee front desk operations, maintain high safety standards on the climbing floor, support staff productivity, and foster outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in retail or fitness, a passion for climbing, and a proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, customer‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and supervising staff in retail or fitness.
• Strong customer-service focus and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks and monitor performance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and train staff.
• Oversee daily facility operations and class flow.
• Delegate tasks and monitor staff performance.
• Provide guidance and feedback for professional growth.
• Manage staff schedules across all shifts.
• Promote operational excellence and exceed customer expectations.
• Handle event bookings and coordinate groups.
• Respond promptly to customer and staff concerns.
• Report shift activities and achievements to senior management.
• Reconcile daily cash and prepare bank deposits.
• Enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
