Job summary

The Gravity Vault Princeton is seeking an experienced Climbing Gym Manager to lead daily operations, foster a welcoming community, and drive growth. You will oversee front desk staff, maintenance, safety, and youth/adult programming at our Plainsboro, NJ location.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will coordinate with the Head Routesetter and ensure safety compliance, staff development, and strong member relations. Competitive salary and bonuses offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing staff in a commercial climbing gym.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across member-facing and administrative interactions.
• Proven leadership and staff management capabilities.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience leading youth climbing programs (classes, teams, camps, parties).
• Proficiency with Approach POS and gym management software.
• Desirable: experience overseeing a route setting team.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facility operations, including inventory and POS operations.
• Lead front desk staff, facility maintenance, visitor safety, and programming.
• Collaborate with Head Routesetter on setting schedules and budgets.
• Direct youth and adult climbing programs and events.
• Enforce safety protocols and staff certifications.
• Communicate with members, staff and vendors.
