Coastal Payroll Services, Inc. is seeking a Client Support Specialist to join our Client Support team in sunny Southern California.

You will serve as the primary contact for a book of clients, assist with customer service and payroll processing, and help clients train and navigate our web-based HR/Payroll products. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely payroll deadlines, and the ability to analyze payroll data.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in customer service/operations in payroll and human resources functions.
• Strong phone and web-based customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, both at the Federal and State level.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Ability to stay organized, pay close attention to detail, and be accurate.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• BS/BA degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing shared book of clients to ensure that payrolls are processed accurately and according to daily deadlines.
• Assist clients with training and ongoing use of our web-based human capital management products.
• Help clients analyze payroll reports and develop reporting to assist clients in better understanding payroll data.
• Manage high volume incoming calls and support cases.
• Work directly under company management to further enhance payroll knowledge and become an expert in the field.
