Job summary

ARUP Laboratories assigns a Client Site Liaison II to work onsite at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in Philadelphia. The role coordinates specimen processing and client communications while preparing ARUP specimens for transport under DOT and IATA guidelines.

You will collaborate with ARUP teams across Training, Business Development, Technical, Marketing and Support Services to ensure accurate documentation and responsive service in a busy clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Pour off, label and process ARUP specimens per the test directory
• Prepare ARUP specimens for transport per DOT/IATA guidelines
• Hold a current Certification of Completion for Handling, Packing and Shipping Infectious Substances
• Be familiar with all aspects of packing and transport of Category A, Category B
• Detect and resolve issues related to test or specimen submissions before shipping
• Receive and initiate calls between the client site and ARUP
• Provide information for clients regarding specimen requirements, fees, turnaround times and referral laboratory vendors
• Assist in distributing technical information, hotlines, test bulletins and company updates to the client
• Keep the client current on all value added services ARUP supports, such as ATOP, Connect and Consult
• Research pending test lists for ARUP specimens
• Reads, understands and complies with SOPs related to the position
• Order and maintain supplies related to ARUP testing, inventories on hand
• Locate ARUP documentation for Public Health reporting as needed
• Be familiar with CAP, NY and other regulatory agency requirements where applicable
• Maintain contact with local/regional couriers to ensure shipment schedules
• Maintain required records and documentation
• Be competent with Clients LIS, ARUP Connect
• Other duties as assigned
