Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems and energy efficiency, seeks a Service Scheduler to coordinate customer service requests and scheduling.

Under supervision, you will manage technicians, ensure on-time visits, and maintain accurate customer records in NxGen, while supporting time reporting and invoicing workflows.

The role emphasizes strong organizational and communication skills, with opportunities to influence service delivery and contribute to enterprise-wide efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 2–5 years in service operations and/or scheduling.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational and detail orientation.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external clients.
• Able to manage a large, diverse set of tasks with tact and persistence.
• Preferred: associates degree and basic project accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Receive and schedule customer calls for service.
• Manage schedule of technicians and mechanics.
• Ensure schedules support timely preventative maintenance and align with forecasts.
• Debrief technicians daily and resolve concerns.
• Coordinate with Customer Billing Coordinators and Customer Support Coordinators to move jobs through the process.
• Communicate action plans to customers and maintain updates in NxGen.
• Follow up to ensure work meets customer expectations and timelines.
• Attend planning/scheduling meetings and assist with time reporting.
