Job Description

The Client Service Coordinator ("CSC") at Banfield Pet Hospital in Jupiter, FL, is responsible for managing the flow of clients and pets, maximizing the productivity of the veterinary team, ensuring effective communication, and providing a welcoming environment. The role involves influencing client retention and referrals through exceptional service.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks
  1. Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  2. Actively promote hospital services to recruit new clients and ensure smooth flow of clients and pets.
  3. Support the hospital's wellness plans by maximizing the number of pets seen.
  4. Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service, including client and pet greetings, comfort, and education about pet health.
  5. Educate clients on wellness plans, preventative care, and hospital services.
  6. Assist incoming clients with documentation, pet information entry, and prompt service.
  7. Assist outgoing clients with instructions, invoices, dispensing prescriptions, retail sales, and appointment scheduling.
  8. Maintain accurate financial records and follow opening and closing procedures.
  9. Perform administrative duties as needed.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Comfortable around various pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles.
  • Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and more than 40 hours per week as needed.
  • Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch, and potential exposure to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medications.
Experience, Education, and Training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old for radiography and radioactive substances exposure.
  • One year of related customer service experience preferred.
  • Medical background or training in veterinary, human healthcare, or pharmaceuticals is preferred.
