First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative to join our team. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, handling bank transactions, and opening deposit accounts while identifying products and digital tools to meet clients’ financial needs.

You will engage clients, manage relationships, and support branch sales goals. The position requires at least 1 year of banking or sales experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain Notary

Competenze

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year banking, sales, or related experience; at least 6 months selling products or services.
S.A.F.E Act registration required at employment through NMLS; must meet qualifications within 3 months of hire.
Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
Knowledge of bank products across lines; ability to explain and cross-sell.

Mansioni

Deliver high-quality customer service addressing general banking needs in a fast-paced environment.
Engage clients to understand financial needs and recommend appropriate products and digital solutions.
Resolve inquiries and complaints within authority; ensure timely resolution and positive client experience.
Maintain accurate client records and account information for ongoing relationship management.
Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and other transactions accurately; balance cash and ATMs.
Open new consumer and business accounts and process loan applications for clients.
Promote electronic banking tools during onboarding and educate clients on digital options.
Lead and participate in sales activities to meet team and branch goals.
Support managers with audits, branch balancing, and operational initiatives.
Ensure compliance with regulations including BSA, OFAC, CIP, EDD, and information security standards.
