Job summary

Truist is hiring in Columbia, SC for a retail banking role focused on delivering a distinctive client experience. You will guide customers through transactions, upsell appropriate services, and educate them about digital banking options.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills, flexibility to work weekends, and the ability to travel for staffing needs. You will also participate in IRM activities and ongoing product training to better serve both consumer and business clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience.
• Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• PC keyboard and software skills for branch automation.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs.
• Work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients during transactions and uncovering needs.
• Educate clients on digital and self-service solutions like ATMs and Online/Mobile banking.
• Support team sales by outbound calls and referrals to the right branch members.
• Understand Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
• Participate in Retail Community Bank Leadership routines and training.
