Job summary

BBH Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO is seeking a Client Engagement Specialist to welcome clients, guide onboarding, and support families in a trauma-informed environment. You’ll work across admissions, scheduling, and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth start to treatment.

You’ll collaborate with clinical and support teams, maintain accurate records, and uphold HIPAA compliance while building a compassionate, organized welcome for women and children entering recovery services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, admin support, healthcare, or related field.
• Experience in substance use treatment or behavioral health is preferred.
• Experience working with women, children, and families is preferred.
• Experience onboarding, orientation, or customer service functions preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and their children with professionalism and compassion in a trauma-informed way.
• Guide clients through onboarding and orientation to help them feel comfortable.
• Conduct facility tours, explain program expectations, schedules, resources, and safety.
• Assist with belongings, locker assignments, and admission logistics.
• Prepare admission materials, orientation packets, and required docs.
• Maintain accurate client records and onboarding documentation.
• Coordinate scheduling, phone communications, and other admin duties.
• Monitor reception areas to promote a welcoming, organized environment.
• Collaborate with clinical, medical, residential, and support staff for a smooth client experience.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all activities.
