Job summary

The Healing Place in Louisville, KY is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to manage client intake, answer and return phone calls, prescreen potential clients, verify insurance, and assist with transportation resources. You will collaborate with program staff to ensure appropriate client placement and advocate for clients navigating treatment and external resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience required.
• At least one year of experience working in a clinical environment preferred.
• Superior organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Must be proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, people, and processes.
• Experience working with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming phone calls.
• Return any missed phone calls to potential clients.
• Prescreens all potential clients and records details of conversation on tracking log.
• Help establish and verify insurance for all clients.
• Assist with resources to provide transportation when appropriate.
• Collaborate with Program staff, Admissions staff, and Detox staff for efficient client placement/scheduling.
• Advocate for clients navigating treatment, insurance, legal concerns, and external resources.
• Prepare reports for internal use or external entities (e.g., probation officers, insurance companies).
• Attend all Mandatory Staff meetings and trainings.
• Coordinate with Development team to increase community awareness and engagement of THP services.
• Record keeping and documentation.
• Additional tasks as needed.
