Job summary

Riggs CAT in Osceola, AR is seeking a Service Writer who will be the main point of contact for customers in the Service Department, coordinating repairs and handling administrative tasks.

You will interview customers, process work orders, prepare cost estimates, input data into BMTS, and maintain files while ensuring clear communication during repairs; some weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, procedures, and schematics.
• Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
• Basic math, budgeting and cost/revenue knowledge.
• Experience with BMTS software is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including some weekends/holidays.
• Ability to analyze figures and identify trends relevant to responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer contact for the Service department.
• Process work orders and outside purchases.
• Prepare cost estimates and log needed parts for repairs.
• Enter repair details in BMTS and communicate costs to customers.
• Coordinate drop-off and pickup appointments with customers.
• Maintain service files and office areas to present a professional image.
• Support supervisory/administrative tasks when needed.
• Convey all necessary information regarding costs, parts, work, and technicians.
