Job summary

Preferred Business Systems, a Whippany, NJ-based MSP, seeks a client-facing tech who can handle day-to-day tickets and proactive network maintenance in a mixed remote/field role.

You will support Microsoft 365, monitor alerts via N-able N-central/N-sight, configure network gear, and communicate clearly with clients while coordinating with senior engineers.

Local NJ/NY travel ~25% is expected; growth path and modern MSP tooling are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working at an MSP — essential for understanding the multi-client model.
• 2+ years Microsoft 365 admin experience (licensing, Exchange, Teams, Intune/Entra).
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing & switching, firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1.5 remote and on-site technical support across a managed client base.
• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID).
• Monitor, manage, and resolve alerts via N-able N-central/N-sight RMM platform.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (VLANs, TCP/IP).
• Log and manage all work in HaloPSA PSA system.
• Communicate clearly with clients, set expectations, and follow up.
