Job summary

JLL is seeking a detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk to support mailroom, receiving dock, and company store operations across assigned buildings in Chicago. This onsite role focuses on efficient mail handling, inventory control, and providing excellent service to clients and occupants.

You will sort mail, manage shipments with major carriers, maintain stock, and assist facility teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least two years in mailroom ops, facilities support, shipping/receiving, or store management.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with ability to travel between buildings as needed.
• Strong attention to detail for mail sorting, inventory, and shipment processing.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Responsibilities

• Sort and distribute incoming mail according to destination and type; process outgoing mail and shipments.
• Coordinate outgoing shipments with USPS, UPS, and FedEx; track shipments and resolve carrier issues.
• Receive and process deliveries; verify inventory against bills of lading and invoices.
• Maintain company store inventory; rotate products, check expiration dates, and keep shelves stocked.
• Manage copier/printer supply inventory and office/cleaning supplies.
• Keep mailroom clean/organized and respond promptly to client requests.
• Collaborate with facility management to identify risks and elevate issues as needed.
