Mailroom Clerk - JLL
What this job involves: The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for supporting daily mailroom operations by handling incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and package distribution for client sites. This role helps ensure accurate and timely mail processing while maintaining organized records, inventory, and mailroom procedures. The position also supports operational efficiency, client service excellence, and compliance with site policies and service standards. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, teamwork, and a customer-focused approach.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Process, sort, distribute, and track incoming and outgoing mail, courier deliveries, and packages.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs, records, and files related to mailroom operations and package tracking.
- Coordinate special mail handling requests, including bulk mail and priority deliveries.
- Maintain mail stops, package storage areas, and mailroom organization to support efficient operations.
- Research and respond to client inquiries regarding mail and package status or delivery concerns.
- Conduct routine mailroom inspections and monitor inventory levels for operational supplies.
- Support site operations and contribute to a collaborative, service-oriented work environment while following JLL policies and client requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a mailroom, shipping/receiving, administrative, or customer service role.
- Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, sorting, and moving packages and mail items.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with email and electronic recordkeeping systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a corporate office or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with courier services, shipping procedures, and package tracking systems.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and mailroom operations.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service experience supporting internal or external clients.
- Experience supporting operational performance goals or service level expectations.
- Understanding of workplace safety procedures and operational compliance standards.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary:
$19.23 -$ 21.6

Estimated compensation for this position:
40,000.00 - 45,000.00 USD per year
