Job summary

Fundamental in San Francisco seeks an AI Deployment Strategist to own NEXUS deployment outcomes. You’ll sit with customers to identify decision points, translate them into deployable use cases, and define value measurements before models are trained.

You’ll partner with a Forward Deployed Engineer to align why, what, and next steps. You’ll spend substantial time with executives and data teams, travel frequently, and help shape a roadmap for expanded use cases across accounts.

Qualifications

• 2 to 6 years in a role where you were judged on outcomes with a customer or client
• Comfortable in a Python or SQL notebook and able to explain a prediction problem
• Able to read a backtest and communicate findings clearly
• Able to structure a messy problem on a whiteboard and present a crisp one-pager
• Willing to travel 50% or more and work with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Run discovery with business and data leaders: map decision points to prediction problems, qualify data sources
• Write the use-case brief for every deployment: business question, prediction target, data sources, baseline, KPIs, owner
• Define value before the build and sign off on it after: translate model lift into dollars, hours, or risk
• Drive adoption: integrate the model into the customer workflow, train users, track usage
• Shape the next use cases: maintain a live roadmap per account and surface expansion opportunities
• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineer to unblock data access and priorities
• Carry insights back to Product, Research, and leadership to build repeatable playbooks
• Travel to customer sites 50% or more of the time
