OpenAI is seeking a highly experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to define and deliver complex AI systems for customers. You will own end-to-end delivery, map workflows, and drive adoption across customer, FDE, and Research teams.

You’ll lead strategic planning, manage milestones, and ensure on-time deployment while translating business outcomes into technical plans. Hybrid work in San Francisco with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of customer‑facing technical delivery leadership.
• Experience leading large, complex customer engagements.
• Ability to operate in high ambiguity and translate strategy into delivery.

Responsabilités

• Own the technical delivery plan for multiple interdependent work streams.
• Run day-to-day engineering execution across OpenAI FDE and customer teams.
• Embed with customer teams to land production deployments and drive adoption.
• Partner with Product and Research to land platform components on time.
• Codify solution patterns and extract reusable field signals.
• Own value cases and ROI, set KPIs and measure pre/post deployment.
• Shape engagement with Financial Services customers.
